“Ain’t Misbehavin'” – Cootie Williams And His Orchestra (1941)

Okeh; New York, May 7, 1941: Cootie Williams-t/Lou McGarity-tb/Les Robinson-as/Skippy Martin-bar/Johnny Guarnieri-p/Artie Bernstein-sb/Jo Jones-d.

A Fats Waller 1929 original. Cootie Williams on muted trumpet.

“Ain’t Misbehavin'” was released August 2, 1929, and by the end of that year the song would be recorded by six other orchestras. He couldn’t sing, but Fats Waller could sure write a jazz standard!
