“That’s A Plenty” – Ray Miller And His Orchestra (1929)

Brunswick; Chicago, January 3, 1929.

Originally written in 1914 as a rag, “That’s a Plenty” has become a Dixieland jazz standard. This version features Muggsy Spanier on trumpet. His trumpet solo begins at 1:49.

Following Muggsy’s muted clarinet solo we hear a superb lower register clarinet run by Jimmy Cannon.

A Youtube video repost.
